The size of the beard is an indicator for how long we've been working on the Boden-Haus. It will be removed once the Boden-Haus is completed.

Hey Aaron! i finally searched for you at Uncle Warren's request, and have really enjoyed reading up on your blog and what you're doing with rammed earth - interesting stuff! I'm assuming this is different from the mud brick homes they make in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India which routinely get washed away by floods? Similarly, though, you are planning on incorporating timber into the structure for lintels and roof beams? I visited the Alhambra in Granada - did not realize it was rammed-earth construction though - pretty cool.
